Connect Ledger device

This document will show you how to connect a Ledger device to Avail Space.

Set up Ledger device

Step 1: Install the Avail app on your Ledger device using Ledger Live. For detailed instructions on how to install, use this guide.

Step 2: Connect the Ledger device to your computer using the USB cable. Please make sure to enter your PIN code.

Press the right button to go up, the left button to go down, and both buttons simultaneously to validate an action.

Step 3: Choose the Avail app by clicking on the right button to go up, the left button to go down, and both buttons simultaneously to validate.

The screen will display as follows if you have set it up successfully:

Connect Ledger device

If you are on the Avail Space homepage

Step 1: On the Avail Space homepage, click on the account name at the top right of the screen to access the account selection tab.

Step 2: Choose the "Attach account" button at the bottom left corner.

Step 3: Choose "Connect a Ledger device".

Step 4: A window will pop up as follows. Choose the device (In the example below, our device is named Nano X) and click "Connect".

Step 5: After your Ledger has been successfully found by Avail Space, click "Connect Ledger device".

Please remember that you have to turn on the corresponding app on the Ledger device.

Step 6: Choose the account you want to use, then click "Connect Ledger device".

Step 7: Your Ledger Avail account is ready!

If you get to the account selection tab, you can see your Ledger account there. You will also see the Ledger icon next to your linked account list (see the image below), as this is to differentiate it from other account types.

If you are on the Avail Space welcome page

In this case, most steps are identical to the instructions above; however, in Step 2, you need to click the "Attach an account" button and choose "Connect a Ledger account".
