Attach a watch-only account

This document will show you how to attach a watch-only account on Avail Space.

This feature enables you to keep a close eye on the accounts of interest without having to import the private keys for those accounts. All you need is an account address.

As the name suggests, this account type is for watch-only purposes. You will not be able to transfer funds or actively participate in any activities under this type of account.

If you are on the Avail Space welcome page

Step 1: Enter your address, then click "Add watch-only wallet".

Step 2: Click "Go to portfolio" and you will be redirected to the homepage.

That's it, and you have successfully added the watch-only account to Avail Space!

Pretty easy, right?

If you are on the Avail Space homepage

In this case, you are already on the Avail Space homepage. Here, you can attach as many watch-only accounts as you wish!

Step 1: On the Avail Space homepage, click on the account name to get to the account selection tab.

Step 2: Choose "Attach account".

Step 3: Choose "Attach a watch-only account".

Step 4: Enter the address (also known as public key) of the account you want to connect. Then click "Attach watch-only account".

Avail Space helps you identify your watch-only accounts with the eye symbol (as shown in the image below) to differentiate them from other account types. Please ensure you are not in a watch-only account if you want to make transactions.

To attach even more accounts, you need to repeat all the steps mentioned above for each account you wish to connect.
