Direct nomination

This document will show you how to stake AVAIL via direct nomination staking option on Avail Space.

Direct nomination staking information & parameters

Minimum stake	1,000 AVAIL
Unstaking period	28 days
Rewards payout	At the end of each era ( 1 era ~ 24 hours). Rewards can be compounded automatically or sent to any account.
Nominating mechanism	Nominator manages the list of staked validators (up to 16).

Staking via direct nomination

Step 1: On the Avail Space homepage, choose the "Earning" tab on the sidebar.

Step 2: Click the "AVAIL" option to start staking.

Step 3: In the AVAIL earning options screen, select "Direct nomination" as your earning type.

A pop-up will appear. Read carefully, then choose "Stake to earn" to proceed.

You will be directed to the following Start earning screen. On the right panel, all the steps involved in the process are listed clearly. After completing each step, you will be automatically directed to the next step.

Step 4: Enter the required staking information.

Pay close attention to the validator you are choosing. When selecting validator(s), Avail Space supports you with the latest record of validator details. Click on the three-dot icon on the right-hand side of each validator to see the validator details.

Once done, select your preferred validator(s).

The "Apply validator" button will vary based on the number of validators you select. In this example, since we only select 1 validator, click the "Apply 1 validator" button to confirm.

A completed staking request will look like the following picture. Click "Stake" and then click "Continue" to proceed.

Step 6: Click the "Approve" button to confirm.

Step 7: A pop-up window will appear, asking you to sign the request with your chosen account. Click the "Approve" button to confirm the staking request.

Step 8: Your staking request has been submitted!
