The connection of a network will not always be stable. When a network experiences high traffic or the endpoint/provider becomes unstable, network congestion may occur, resulting in users being unable to make any transactions on that network.
For each network, there are 3 network statuses that can occur. At Avail Space, we differentiate these statuses by using different wifi icon colors.
Wifi icon color | Displayed in wallet | Meaning & Action required (if needed) |
---|---|---|
Grey | The network connection is unavailable. Please turn off the network and enable it back or change to another provider to restore the network connection. | |
Yellow | The network connection is unstable. Please turn off the network and enable it back or change to another provider to restore the network connection. | |
Green | The network connection is normal. |
Step 1: On the Avail Space homepage, choose the "Settings" tab on the sidebar.
Step 2: In the Settings section, choose "Manage networks".
Step 3: Customize your provider by clicking the pencil icon next to the network you want to customize the provider. In this case, we are choosing "Avail".
Step 4: In the Network detail section, click on the provider URL.
Step 5: A list of providers will appear. Choose the provider you want to use from the list.
In this case, we select the wss://mainnet-rpc.availspace.app provider, for example.
If you want to use a provider outside our suggested list, please click the "Add new provider" button. A screen where you can put details about the new provider will appear.
Enter the provider's URL and click "Save".
Please note that the providers listed have been verified by our team. If you were to use custom providers not on the list, please use them at your own risk!
Step 6: After choosing the provider, click "Save". You have successfully changed the RPC/endpoint for the Avail network!
